Soft-shell jackets are all the rage in the apparel industry today. Combining a One-Two punch of water and wind-resistance, soft-shells offer a higher level of protection against the elements. Softer, thinner, and lighter than most outer shells, this material is usually layered with several other materials to compose a garment. The triple layers allow for the fabric to "breathe" thanks to a middle laminate membrane insert that holds tiny pores. The outer polyester soft-shell layer offers water and wind-resistance while the inner micro-fleece layer protects against the cold. We think we've created the best of both worlds - and then some.
